Section 1c

Campaign Accent Governance

Secondary accents (Light Pink, Acid Green) are campaign-level tokens, not everyday editorial colors. Activation requires protocol.

Protocol
Activation Required
Requires explicit designation: "Campaign X uses Acid Green." Designator: Jason or Creative Director.
Never: deploy without active campaign entry in Client Strategy DB.
Scope
One Campaign at a Time
Active campaign accent is declared per campaign in Client Strategy DB. Retired when the campaign ends.
Never: deploy both Light Pink and Acid Green simultaneously.
Light Pink
#fbdbf2
Surface background fill for campaign hero sections. Illustration emphasis. Currently active: "Best Story Wins" campaign (March 2026).
Never: as text color. Never as border/stroke without creative director approval.
Acid Green

Section 3c

Mixed-Media Collage Style

C5 uses a neo-dadaist assemblage technique as its signature illustration language. Not traditional illustration -- layered photography, hand-drawn line art, flat color, digital artifacts, and found objects.

Line Weight & Stroke

  • Loose, hand-drawn, deliberately imperfect organic strokes
  • Not precise, geometric, or vector-clean
  • Line art overlays on photographic base layers
  • Colored strokes: blue, red/coral, black predominate
  • Thick-to-thin transitions within a single stroke

Color Within Illustrations

  • Extends beyond brand primitive palette
  • Blues, pinks, corals, blacks, saturated warm tones
  • Flat saturated color fields as panel backgrounds
  • Duotone/monotone photographic treatments
  • Brand palette governs layout; illustrations have expanded palette

Subject Matter

  • Human figures -- full body and parts, fragmented/reassembled
  • Cultural/architectural icons with painted overlays
  • Found objects -- everyday items elevated to composition
  • Skulls and anatomical forms as visual anchors
  • Digital artifacts -- retro pixel elements, interface fragments
  • Never: animals, landscapes-as-subject, product photography, abstract geometric patterns

Texture & Layering

  • Layered media is the defining characteristic
  • Photographic grain + flat digital color + hand-drawn ink + pixel artifacts
  • Cut-out collage technique -- visible assembly
  • Polka dots, pattern fills, graphic textures on figures
  • Never: smooth gradients, airbrushed surfaces, clean digital painting

Composition Rules

  • Custom mixed-media collage only -- never stock illustration, clip art, or unart-directed AI imagery
  • Collage/mosaic arrangement with tight packing and seamless edge bleeds
  • Mixed aspect ratios within a single composition create visual energy
  • No borders, drop shadows, or visible frames on individual panels
  • Photography is an ingredient, not a separate category -- all photos carry treatment (duotone, overlay, crop, assemblage)
  • Full spectrum of abstraction: photorealistic B&W coexists with pixel art and abstract line drawings
  • Intentional roughness -- edges visible, layers don't blend, the composite nature is celebrated
  • Never: blend collage layers into smooth composites, use single-medium compositions, present raw unmodified photography alongside collage

Section 5

Logo System

26 logo assets across wordmark, logomark, app icons, tagline lockups, and expressive marks. All extracted from Figma.

Primary Wordmark

White on Dark (default)
Dark on White

Expressive Marks

Eight stylized C5 monogram treatments for creative applications. Decorative only.

Furry mark Furry
Holographic mark Holographic
Pixel mark Pixel
Isometric mark Isometric
Grunge mark Grunge
Lava mark Lava
Chrome mark Chrome
Slime mark Slime

Logo Rules

Wordmark
Always monochrome
Never apply accent color to individual letters. Wordmark is always single-color.
Contrast
Full contrast required
text.primary for nav/header. text.secondary for footer. Never text.tertiary or lower.
Spacing
Clear space: 4x counter
Minimum clear space: 4x the counter-space of the "5" on all sides.
Restrictions
No shadows, no rotation
Zero drop shadows. No rotation of wordmark. Logomark min size: 30px (64px preferred).

Section 4g

Section 4f

Anti-Patterns

Universal constraints that apply to all generation contexts. Violation produces off-brand output by definition.

Surface & Background

  • Light/white background without explicit instruction
  • Background colors outside #1a171a and #f6f6f6
  • Gradient fills on typographic elements

Accent Color

  • #f44d37 as background fill or dominant surface
  • Orange text over any orange element
  • Both campaign accents simultaneously
  • Orange for error/warning UI states

Typography

  • Second typeface (Inter only)
  • More than two weights in single asset
  • All-caps for body text blocks
  • Center-aligned body copy
  • Body text above 24px

Composition

  • Fill more than 65% of dark frame with non-dark elements
  • Drop shadows on any element
  • More than three text blocks per asset
  • Stacked glass cards (glass on glass)

Imagery

  • Stock photography or posed corporate photos
  • Stock illustration or clip art
  • Clean vector illustration or flat design characters
  • Borders, shadows, or frames on collage panels
  • Gaps between mosaic illustration panels
  • Raw unmodified photography alongside collage

Section 4

Generation Policy

Constraints for AI generation tools consuming this manifest. Style intent, content-type rules, and negative prompts.

Style Keywords

dark-first clean editorial bold-type data-forward electric-accent glass-morphism confident typographic mixed-media-collage neo-dadaist hand-drawn-overlay layered-texture

Visual Mood

Sophisticated and unapologetic -- a dark, editorial aesthetic that signals creative authority without corporate sterility. A disciplined single typeface (Inter) across three weights creates hierarchy through weight, not decoration. The primary palette restraint (dark + orange accent) is offset by two bold secondary accents deployed campaign-by-campaign. Feels like a premium publication, not a SaaS dashboard.

Social Graphic (1200x628)

Background: surface.default. Headline: Inter Bold 119px, leading 0.91, tracking -2.38px, left-aligned, upper third. One CTA or highlighted phrase in action.primary. Wordmark bottom-right at 38px. Safe zone: inner 70%.

Social Graphic (1200x1200)

Background: surface.default. Headline: Inter Bold 150px, leading 1.0, tracking -3px. Single dominant headline only -- no subheadlines. C5 logomark bottom-right in orange.

Blog Hero Image

Wide format (3:1 preferred, 1.91:1 acceptable). Type-driven composition -- bold headline as primary visual. Accent: optional single phrase in action.primary.

Data Visualization

Background: surface.default. Chart lines/bars: text.primary (white) for primary series, action.primary for highlighted. No pie charts. Prefer bar/line. Axis labels at text.tertiary.

Email Header (3:1)

Light-mode or dark acceptable. If dark: all dark-mode rules apply. If light: surface.light background, text.on-light. Wordmark: white on dark, dark on light.

Illustration Collage

Canvas: 1920x1080 (16:9). Mosaic grid: two rows, mixed aspect ratios, seamless edges. Mixed-media collage panels. No visible gaps, borders, or shadows. See Section 3c for full visual vocabulary.

Universal Constraints

Background
Dark-first
Must use surface.default (#1a171a) or surface.light (#f6f6f6). Light background requires explicit instruction.
Accent
One per section
action.primary (#f44d37) only. One highlighted element per section. Never as background fill.
Typography
Inter only
Max two weights per asset. No decorative fonts. No serif. No mono.
Negative Space
Min 35% dark
Dark background is the design -- do not fill it. Generous negative space is intentional.
Gradients
Glass fills only
No rainbow gradients, no duotones. Glass card fills are the only permitted gradients.
Shadows
Forbidden
Zero drop shadows on any element including logo and type. No exceptions.

Negative Prompt Equivalents

stock photography posed corporate photos gradient rainbow drop shadows clip art pastel primary palette light airy SaaS aesthetic corporate blue clean vector illustration flat design characters smooth airbrushed surfaces all-caps text blocks
